Mount and sensor are different things

A Sony E lens and a Sony FE lens share the same mount, but only the FE lens covers a full-frame sensor. The same split exists between Canon RF and RF-S, and between Nikon Z and Z DX. That is why a lens can attach and still use only part of your sensor. How we check
